June Flower Framing Stained Glass Workshop at Rebecca Furze Shop - Totnes

Looking for a unique thing to do with a friend or family member in South Devon? We have an exclusive class coming to Totnes.

The workshop will take place at Rebecca Furze Shop and there will be either an evening Friday session on June 27th 7pm-8.30pm or a morning Saturday session on 28th June 10am-11.30am.

Learn how to create beautiful botanical art in a pre cut glass frame with step by step instructions, leaving with your very own frame you have spent the class crafting. The class will run for approximately 1hr 30 mins but could be a little longer depending on the class. Participants must be 18 and over.

The class will start with an intro into flower pressing including tips and tricks for beginners. We will then move on to choosing your glass frame, there will be various shapes to choose from Moon, Arch, Circle, Rectangle, Square and Diamond. Most frames will be clear glass with the odd option to have a coloured glass too. If you have a specific shape you'd like please let me know at least a week prior to the class so I can ensure there will be enough options for your preference. 

Next we will start designing your flower layout within the glass frame. There will be multiple but limited varieties of flowers to choose from as I press everything seasonally and they’re all picked in south Devon. You can bring pressed flowers of your own, even polaroid pictures/ feathers. Once set on your design we can start tacking the flowers down.

Demonstrations will then be given on how to copper foil and solder the frame you have designed. It will be an intimate group of 6 with me as the instructor. There will be no glass cutting involved but safety instructions and a risk assessment will be required due to the use of a soldering iron. If you would prefer me to solder your frame for you this is also possible and can be discussed during the class. 

All materials and safety wear is provided but if you have some flowers you have already pressed or another item you'd like to place in the glass then please bring it along and i can advise you if its possible.
