Christmas Ornament Flower Framing Stained Glass Workshop at Rebecca Furze Shop - Totnes (2 Ornaments)

Looking for something artistic to do in Totnes this December? 

Come and learn the art of stained glass. Making TWO of your very own Christmas ornaments by arranging your chosen pressed flowers in glass frames, learning the traditional techniques of Tiffany Glass. Enjoy the mindful art of flower framing with drink refreshments provided! 

The workshop will take place at Rebecca Furze Shop (no.8 the plains) along the main road at the bottom of the high street. 

In this session you will learn how to create botanical art in two pre cut glass frames with step by step instructions, leaving with your very own frame you have spent the class mindfully crafting. The class will run for approx 1hr 45mins but could be a little longer depending on the pace. Participants must be 18 and over.

There will be various frame shapes to choose from Moon, Arch, Circle, Rectangle, Square. There will be a mixture of frames with clear glass with the some options to have a coloured/ mirrored glass too. If you have a specific shape you'd like please let me know at least a week prior to the class so I can ensure there will be enough options for your preference. 

There will be multiple but limited varieties of flowers to choose from as I press everything seasonally and they’re all picked in south Devon. You can bring pressed flowers of your own, even polaroid pictures/ feathers.

 It will be an intimate group of 6 with me as the instructor. There will be no glass cutting involved but safety instructions and a risk assessment will be required due to the use of a soldering iron. If you would prefer me to solder your frame for you this is also possible and can be discussed during the class. 

All materials and safety wear is provided but if you have some flowers you have already pressed or another item you'd like to place in the glass then please bring it along and I can advise you if its possible.
